Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Commonly referred to as 'laughing gas,' nitrous oxide is a chemical compound that has a sedative effect when inhaled.
You inhale the nitrous oxide (combined with oxygen) through a mask that will sit over your nose.
Throughout your procedure, your dentist will be in control of the amount of sedation you receive. The gas will to wear off quickly at the end of your appointment, with little to no aftereffects.
